Shane Finkelstein

Event Producer

Shane Finkelstein is a former magazine publisher and restaurateur, acclaimed author, and festival producer who has lived in New Orleans since 2000. He is the founder and producer of popular New Orleans food competitions, Top Taco and Food Fight, and coordinator of Fat City’s Cinco de Mayo Fest. In 2023, he looks forward to adding the beloved beer festival, NOLA on Tap, to the Yeah You Right Events roster. Over the past five years, Yeah You Right Events have raised over $150,000 for New Orleans nonprofits.

Oscar Chimal was born in Mexico and earned his chops in the service industry under the tutelage of Oceana Group before finding a home for his mother’s recipes at Los Jefes Grill in Metairie. The Fat City restaurant has grown into one of the most popular locations in the neighborhood since its opening in 2016. Their popular Cinco de Mayo Fest outgrew its confines on Edenborn Street before expanding to Fat City Park in 2021. As a competitor in Top Taco, Los Jefes consistently won People’s Choice Awards for Top Taco and Top Margarita. Oscar is also an active member of the Jefferson Community Foundation.

Allison Davis

Allison Davis

Social Media/Content Manager

Allison got her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing at the University of North Texas and became an entrepreneur in brand management and content creation. In 2019, she moved to New Orleans because she was drawn to the delicious cajun cuisine, the high vibing music scene, and the festive culture that the Big Easy is known for. Over the past few years, Allison has focused her success on digital marketing initiatives through compelling content writing, video production, innovative digital marketing, and social media management. Allison is passionate about making connections and building relationships through marketing strategies and brand management. She believes that digital marketing is about perpetual motion that must be innovated every day to build strong, reputable brands.

Margaret Miller

Margaret Miller grew up in the festival world, attending the very first New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in Congo Square in 1970 as a small child with her mother participating as a jewelry artist, then continued on as a vendor assistant, eventually coming on board with the festival in a wide range of roles over the years from Site Administration to VIP Host to Music Administration. She also spent her years living in Ashville, NC as the Vendor Director of Handcrafted Art and Culinary Arts at the Leaf Global Arts Festival. Margaret has also worked for Bonnaroo, Essence music Festival, and the Ponderosa Stomp. She is currently back in New Orleans, still spending her time working in the arts and events fields, rescuing dogs with the Mid City Mutt Mamas, and sneaking off to Mexico whenever she gets the chance.

Courtney is the Executive Director of the New Orleans Academy of Ophthalmology, a local non-profit, dedicated to the continuing education of ophtha lmologists in the region. A graduate of Tulane, her heart has always been in New Orleans. She has been an active supporter of Top Taco since its inception and has come on board as the VIP Coordinator for all Yeah You Right Events. Formerly the Director of Sales and Marketing for Dickie Brennan's Restaurant Group as well as owner of several local restaurants over the past twenty years. She is an active member of the New Orleans marching krewe, The Pussyfooters, and mother of three teenagers.

Kari Shisler

Kari Shisler came to the local festival scene 17 years ago as a lover of New Orleans music and having honed her 30 year event/production skills that included being a film producer, an eight-year team member that helped execute the NFL Super Bowl's fan experiences, and most-recently, a co-director of the Oak Street Po-boy Festival. She has also had the opportunity to fulfill her creative side via an exhibit in JAMNOLA, an experiential museum located in the Marigny, and a permanent umbrella-art, installation hung in the lobby of the business district's Indigo Hotel. To her, creativity and problem solving are interconnected.

Misha Mayeur has worked in festival and nightlife production since 2015, where she cut her teeth on the streets of Bushwick for the following 7 years. A New Orleans Native, Misha revels in the fact that she gets to help Yeah You Right Events put on festivals in the same park she played soccer at when she was 4, Lafreniere Park. When not working in Event Production, Misha teaches children's art, runs branding for different advocacy initiatives, and has her own radio show on WHIV 102.3FM.
